This week, our In Focus section highlights key takeaways from the 50-state Medicaid budget survey report released last Thursday, October 27, by the Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured (KCMU) and Health Management Associates. The report, titled Moving Ahead Amid Fiscal Challenges: A Look at Medicaid Spending, Coverage and Policy Trends, was prepared by Vernon K. Smith, Kathleen Gifford, and Eileen Ellis of Health Management Associates, as well as Robin Rudowitz and Laura Snyder from KCMU.
