This week, our In Focus section reviews three announcements made last Friday, July 8, by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicare-Medicaid Coordination Office. The most prominent announcement was that of a demonstration program to test two new financial models – a capitated model and a managed fee-for-service model – to coordinate care for individuals enrolled in both Medicare and Medicaid.
